Who we are
Ilayra is a women's health and safety app made in India, for every stage of a woman's life — from a first period to pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and beyond.
The name comes from Ilā, the Sanskrit word for the earth and for nourishment: grounded, caring and calm. It names no body part or condition, so it fits every stage of life, and it reveals nothing if someone else sees your phone.

What Ilayra does
- Periods and cycle — gentle predictions shown as ranges, symptoms, moods and sleep.
- Pregnancy and baby — your due date, week-by-week notes, kick counter, contraction timer, recovery after birth and your baby's vaccination schedule (India's Universal Immunisation Programme).
- Menopause and later life — symptom tracking, bone and heart health, larger text.
- Wellbeing — breathing exercises and mood check-ins.
- AI coach — plain answers to private questions, based on our health content and medical guidelines.
- Safety — SOS to your trusted contacts with your live location, Safe Walk check-in timer, fake call, helplines, Hidden mode and a duress PIN. Safety features are always free.
What we believe
- Your health data is yours. Your logs stay on your phone, encrypted. We never sell data, never show ads and never use your data to train AI.
- Safety comes first. No woman should be blocked from help by a paywall or a sign-up form. SOS and helplines work even before you sign in.
- Accurate and kind. Health information is based on WHO, FOGSI, ICMR, NICE and ACOG guidance, and [will be] reviewed by qualified doctors before launch. We never diagnose, never shame and never alarm.
- For every woman in India. English and all 22 languages of the Eighth Schedule, built to work on low-cost phones and patchy networks.
- Everyone is welcome, including girls, older women, women with disabilities, and trans and non-binary people.
Medical review
Ilayra gives general health information. It does not diagnose or treat, and it is not an emergency service. Content is written to a grade-8 reading level and based on medical guidelines. In an emergency, call 112.
